I’ve been really looking forward to seeing this one completed…
Now it is. A brilliant addition to an awesome set that’s making such a positive impact in Tredegar.
I’ve only seen it on a post but am excited for my next visit to the town to see it IRL.
…and that, as colleagues in other places which have created a wall art series are finding, is one of a number of big pluses.
First it encourages people who see images of the work on social media to visit and go-see…
…but importantly too, when social media platforms can be and very often are more negative about our town and city centres, these works tend to attract a large and super positive reaction.
The artist’s post on this one quickly passed 2,000 reactions and 200+ comments, all those I’ve read on the “stunning”, “amazing”, “fantastic” scale.
And of course, from a tackling highstreet vacancy perspective, attracting people in, encouraging them to stay longer, trail around the town to see different pieces and ambassador it to others who then do the same, is all good.
It’d be great to hear feedback from places with their own wall art, shutter art or street art installations…
